Mina Hartwell is the founder and editor of Simmers Guide. She researches The Sims 4 custom content, mods, creators, and player resources, with particular attention to clear attribution, direct source links, requirements, update information, and safer downloading habits.
What we publish
Tested guides
A page described as Tested includes hands-on checks by the editor or a named contributor. The article should identify what was checked, the platform, the relevant game version, and the test or review date. Testing is limited to the conditions stated in the article and is not a guarantee that a mod or CC item will work with every setup or future patch.
Curated discovery
A Curated Discovery article is a researched collection assembled from creator pages, public release information, and other first-party sources. These posts help readers browse options, but the featured items have not necessarily been installed or tested by Simmers Guide. We do not present curation as a hands-on review.
How items are selected
- Relevance and usefulness for Sims 4 players
- A clearly identifiable original creator or source
- A working source page with understandable download information
- Useful previews, requirements, compatibility notes, or update details
- Variety across styles, creators, ages, and types of play

Download and mod safety
Mods and custom content are third-party files.
